For generations, humans have fantasized about the ability to communicate and cooperate with machines through thought alone or to create devices that can go over into a person’s thoughts. These ideas have gathered the imagination of humankind in the form of ancient myths and modern science fiction stories. However, only in recent decade’s people have advances in neuroscience and brain sensing technologies made considerable growth on the way to achieving that visualization. In the past decade, exciting by the outstanding advances in neuroscience, electronic and computer technology, research groups around the world have begun to develop brain computer or brain machine interface (BCI/BMI) that provides direct communication and control channels between brain and external world. This is a further developing area comes under the Human Computer Interaction (HCI). According to Reinhold Scherer and co-researchers a brain-computer interface transforms electrophysiological or metabolic brain activity in to control signals for applications and devices. Apart from muscle activity, a particular type of mental activity is used to operate such a system .

Up to now, most of the invasive BMIs have been tested only in experimental animals. Hence, recent interest to move developing, and in some cases not methodically tested, BMI technology in to scientific trials, much experimental remains to be done before BMIs can become safe and efficient therapy tool. Even though, modern BCIs have been moving out of the laboratory and are under assessment in mainly hospitals and at patient’s homes. Even though, they are using such kind of minor experimental applications BCIs have to meet several technical requirements before they are practical alternatives to motor controlled communication devices. Out of them most important requirements are high information transfer rates, ease-of-use, robustness, on-demand operability, and safety. Because, BCI systems have to carry information as quickly and perfectly as needed for individual applications, have to work under most circumstances, and should be available without the assistance of other people.

But, at the time when BMIs or the BCIs researches have been successfully implemented with human beings that will be a very use full tool for specially disable patients. Because of the current war situations in some parts of the world more than thousands of people suffer from disable illnesses and some are born with it. When BCIs researches are successful that will be a gods hand to them. Other fancy aspects like doing lot of day to day activities without moving inches of your limbs like cooking, switch on the television or the ceiling fan, driving and even walking kind of things so far not a fantasy.
